The Survey Tender Engineer will specifically be responsible for:
Production of high-quality tender submissions, ensuring all processes are adhered to
Liaising with technical teams to ensure the correct technical approach is advised and offered to the client
Liaising / Negotiating with third party suppliers and vessel brokers to ensure the most commercially competitive quotation is received
Writing the proposal documentation, collating information from relevant departments
Pricing the tender including contacting third party suppliers and vessel brokers to ensure the most commercially competitive proposal is achieved
Collating the tender in full, identifying any deliverables required and coordinating the production of these accordingly.
Hosting / Attending Internal and External tender meetings where necessary
Addressing tender clarifications and liaising with the team to ensure all the questions can be addressed.
Efficient handover from tendering to operations, ensuring all departmental requirements are captured
Liaising with Commercial & Tendering Manager to ensure all risks are captured and mitigated
Requirements for the role of the Survey Tender Engineer will be:
Degree qualified in survey/engineering subject (survey, marine, offshore related is preferred)
Experience in offshore survey/engineering/ROV role preferred but not essential
Good communication skills.
Problem solving skills.
Attention to detail
Work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proactive, Self-driven and Assertive.
Substantial experience using MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Proactive in prioritising own workload and assigning areas of responsibility to others.
Additional Duties of the Survey Tender Engineer may include:
Keeping abreast of technical developments within the industry
Identifying, approaching and securing new clients
Active client management and business development
Contributing to the development of a strong team of competent and qualified personnel
Presenting services and capabilities to new and potential clients
Professional performance reviews of junior staff at regular intervals
Ensuring policies and procedures as per the GEOSIGHT Operation Manual and GEOSIGHT Employee manual are consistently adhered to by team members
